Legal Assistant, Wills & Probate
Chester.

Our well-established Wills & Probate team is growing and we are looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to support our busy probate team. You’ll work closely with clients who will appreciate your proactive and empathetic approach and will ensure all their probate and estate related administration runs smoothly.

About the role

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Making sure our gold-standard service standards are delivered consistently and proactively every client, every time.
  • Proactively liaising with clients to keep them updated on their cases at all times, acting as first point of contact.
  • Assisting with probate matters and progressing cases, liaising with beneficiaries / asset holders and the probate registry.
  • Managing diaries and organising remote / in-person appointments.
  • Supporting the wider team with wills, estates and Court of Protection matters.
  • Sorting, scanning, distributing and sending post.
  • Opening and closing client files on the case management system.
  • Scanning, copying and archiving documents. ·

Ideally we’re looking for someone who has previous legal administration or private client experience. But if you’re a recent graduate or have been legally trained and have a can-do approach and a genuine interest in this area of law, we’d love to talk too.

You’ll be a fantastic communicator who can juggle multiple tasks and has a good eye for small details. IT skills / case management experience are important too.

With access to a structured induction programme as well as ongoing training programmes tailored to you, you’ll have opportunities to grow, develop and progress.
